Time to rejoice users of Beaver Builder, Elementor and WPML, we’ve been working on exciting updates to share with you.
Our focus over the last month has been to stabilise and improve reliability with the tools you use and love. Well, not only that, we’ve also introduced long time requested feature – field defaults.
Field Defaults
A lot of you have been asking for this one – how to preselect an option in a particular field – which we’re calling “defaults”.
A run down of the options:
Specify a Custom Default Value
Use the text input for the setting to specify the exact value you want to be set as a default.
We’ll make this even easier to use further down line and we plan to add support for multiple values too.
Detect the Value From the Current Location
This was partially implemented in v2 but we’ve significantly expanded on this in v3.
You can now enable auto detection from:
- Current archive – if that’s a post type archive, taxonomy archive, author archive or date archive, we’ve got you covered. When using applicable fields we can automatically inherit the detected value and preselect that option in your field.
- Current post/page/cpt – when you place a field on a single post (of any post type), we can detect the values from the post and preselect that in the field.
For example, you could have a sidebar with a category filter – when viewing an individual post we can now preselect the category that the post has assigned to it, making it even easier for your users to find related posts.
Initially Apply to Query
If you visit a page with a filter (and and a default value preselected), you can also have it affect the query and results immediately to reflect the selection.
Elementor Upgrades
We’ve rebuilt our v3 integration from scratch, taking a much more systematic approach to integrating with the different module types to ensure better and deeper integration with Elementor features.
We’ve also simplified the integration, you no longer need to specify which type of Elementor Widget you’re integrating with in our queries, just choose Elementor Widget and we’ll take care of the rest.
Other update highlights:
- Added full support for all Elementor Pagination types: load more on click, infinite scroll, numbers, previous/next
- Loop Grids have an Individual Pagination setting which customises the pagination parameter in the URL – useful when you want to have multiple Loop Grids on a page. We fully support this in the latest update and will automatically handle everything when you use this option.
- Live Search support for archives & Current Query option – previously when selecting the Current Query in your Elementor widget when building archive templates, Search & Filter Liove
- Improved Editing Experience – sometimes our queries were not reflected in the Elementor editor previews – that’s finally been fixed.
- New documentation page added to reflect the latest changes to the integration.

Beaver Builder Upgrades
Using the same logical and systematic approach, we’ve also rebuilt our integration for Beaver Builder – bringing stability improvements and better support for Beaver Builder features.
We’ve also simplified the integration so you only need to choose Beaver Builder Module in your query integration settings – once set, we’ll autodetect the rest!
Update highlights:
Posts Module
- Full support for all layout types – columns, masonry, gallery and list.
- Added support for all pagination types including Load More.
- Add support for WooCommerce customisation options when using queries that contain the products post type.
Beaver Themer
We’re glad to say we now officially support Beaver Themer archives – we’ve ensured that you can use all Search & Filter options, including Live Search, when using the Posts Module with the Main Query setting.
WooCommerce options are also supported for the Shop archive when using the Posts Module.

WPML Integration release
The WPML integration has finally landed – there were a few technical challenges to overcome and version 1 of the extension has been officially released.

Since our last post, across all plugins, we have:
- Added 15 new features (!)
- Created 1 integration.
- Made 13 improvements.
- Squashed 38 bugs.
