One of our most exciting integrations is now available…
Hot off the heels of the GenerateBlocks version 2 release just last week, we’re excited to announce our official integration!
Over the last year we’ve had countless requests for an integration with GenerateBlocks – so many in fact that an integration even became one of their trending feature requests.
This update enables you to build anything you can imagine with GenerateBlocks’ new Query and Looper blocks – they’ve added some seriously powerful features to their 2.0:
- New Dynamic Data System
- New Block Settings & Stylings
- Completely Overhauled Blocks
Getting Started
The first thing you’ll need to do is ensure you’ve updated our plugins to their latest versions today:
- Search & Filter – v3.1.6
- Search & Filter Pro – v3.1.7
Install & Enable the Integration
Head to our integrations screen and select install next to the new GenerateBlocks integration.

The GenerateBlocks Query block
When creating your Query block you’ll need to specify that it is linked to a Search & Filter query. From the inspector:
- Set Query Type to Search & Filter Query
- Select your query from the Choose a Query dropdown or Add New to create a new one.

Set the Query to GenerateBlocks
In your Search & Filter Query ensure you set the Query option to Generate Blocks.

And that’s it, you’re good to go!
Documentation
Head over the docs for a more in depth explanation and to see how to use Search & Filter with GenerateBlocks on your Archives, and add a Load More button instead of pagination.
HUGE thanks to the team at GeneratePress for helping us to create this integration.
With this new integration the possibilities are endless in the Block Editor – I can’t wait to see what you’ll build!
